f) REPORT 18-0166 RECOMMENDATION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF
ONE (1) RIGHT HAND DRIVE JEEP WRANGLER
FOR PARKING ENFORCEMENT

In 2017 City Council approved the purchase of four (4) all-electric Nissan Leaf vehicles for the Community Services Department recommended by the Public Works Director. (See attached Staff Report)
At the time former Mayor Peter Tucker submitted a letter to City Council stating the insufficiencies and safety concerns of the all-electric Nissan Leaf vehicles for the Community Services Officers. (See attached letter)
The same insufficiencies and safety concerns are now stated as the justification for the purchase of three (3) Jeep Wrangler 4X4 vehicles for the Community Services Department by the Police Chief.
Therefore I am respectfully requesting accountability for the previous purchase of four (4) all-electric Nissan Leaf vehicles for the Community Services Department.
