VIII. COMMUNICATIONS CURRENT PUBLIC COMMENT PROCEDURES DURING COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) PANDEMIC: Public comment may be submitted online only. Public comments must be received at least one hour prior to the start of the school board meeting by 4:00 p.m. Comments are limited to approximately 400 words (3-minute equivalent). Members of the public who wish to provide public comment at this Board meeting may do so in one of two ways: (1) by emailing to mmeraz@hbcsd.org with "Public Comment" in the subject line, or (2) use our online form at: https://forms.gle/SgRBt45MC9c4T5NW6 . Any public comments submitted in this manner will be shared with the Board members and will be read aloud during the meeting public comment period; written or electronic communications that are not submitted in this manner will not be read aloud during the public comment period. Please note: in addition to the foregoing, members of the public may submit "eComment" by going to https://www.hermosabeach.gov/our-community/agendas-minutes-video, clicking on the "eComment" button for the meeting, and then clicking on a particular agenda item to provide "eComment" regarding that particular item. "eComments" are public, however they will not be read aloud during the Board meeting. E-Comments on the City of Hermosa Beach's website are Written Communication, and are available to make comment on a specific board agenda item. A. Public Comments from the Public to the Board Members of the audience may address the Board on any topic regardless of whether it is listed on the agenda. However, the Board may not discuss issues raised that are not listed on the agenda. Topics not on the agenda that are brought to the Board's attention may be investigated by the administration and a report made to the Board, either publicly or privately at a future meeting. Complaints regarding District employees must be dealt with in Closed Session, not in Public. Comments from visitors shall not exceed 3 minutes unless waived by a majority of all Members of the Board.
