This amendment while trying to eliminate (4) residential building onThe Strand for illuminating the beach it also includes all residential properties
(8.72.010)
This Chapter addition (8.72) to the Municipal Code Outdoor Lighting Standards should be for all Residential and Commercial Buildings.
This Chapter should include: Outdoor Lighting Standards: Intent and Purpose, Exceptions, and Light Standards
This addition to the Municipal Code needs to be compressive and detailed tp avoid misinterpretation of the Ordinance Items that need to be added for example:
There is no reference to the California New Residential Building Efficiency Standards, Energy Standards apply to permanently installed luminaries on residential and commercial buildings, Portable temporary lighting for City events ,.
Existing residential properties light fixtures that were legally installed prior to the effective date of this addition to the Municipal Code Chapter 8.72 Shall not be subject to this revision.
I'm not sure if this went to the Planning Commission for a Public hearing or Work Shop but the process should have included this Commission
